Minimum Requirements for Coaching
- Be a member of the USATF. Join here.
- Complete Safesport Training online. Those coaches who have direct contact with or supervision over minor participants (staff members, board members, coaches, officials, youth volunteers, and athlete representatives) shall complete appropriate awareness training about child physical and sexual abuse and other types of misconduct before having contact with youth participants. That awareness training should be conducted through the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
- Complete a USATF background check.
