Our Celebrities are vaulting for a cause; to raise money for the local kids by competing in a celebrity pole vault competition. Help them raise money for the KWHS track team by voting with your dollars for your favorite celebrity. And then come out and watch them compete on Saturday, January 11, 2020. No donation is too small.
Rick Lopez

Rick Lopez, General Manager of Florida Keys Media, can frequently be heard on the radio announcing the local Key West teams. Rick is the recipient of the highest award a broadcaster can receive, the Marconi Award, for his coverage of Hurricane Irma. Rick was the first (and only) Celebrity Pole Vaulter at the inaugural Pole Vault in Paradise 2019, as well as an Aqua Ideal 2014 winner and Mr. Money Honey in 2016 Samuels House Men of Paradise Fashion Show He is returning in 2020 to defend his Pole Vault in Paradise Celebrity title and hopefully beat his personal vault record of 2’6”.
Jimmy Bass

According to Jimmy’s team at LKMC, “It’s all about that Bass”. Jimmy Bass, Assistant CEO at Lower Keys Medical Center, will be competing in the pole vault for the very first time. Having moved to the Keys this past year, Jimmy has embraced our unique community and is committed to being involved. He also knows that there is excellent hospital care available should he need it.

Elle Taylor’s performances at Aqua Nightclub frequently leaves the guests breathless on the edge of their seats as she wraps and floats and drops within inches of the stage. Now we get to see how high Elle can fly at Pole Vault in Paradise. Elle has an impressive list of titles including Miss Utopia 2007, Miss New Years Eve 2011, Miss Closetball 2012, Queen Mother 2014, Miss Paradise 2015, and the reigning Miss Key West Florida. Will she add another title at Pole Vault in Paradise?

Britt Myers traded in a life of monetary success, a chiseled body and intellectual enlightenment for a piece of the pie of the Keys Weekly newspapers. He is also the proud parent of an incredible six-year-old and a sucker for Michael Mann movies and convenience store hot dogs. On January 11 Britt will test his mettle on the pole vault runway against other local celebrities.
